A number of Member States have established concrete support plans and actions to assist defence-related SMEs

National Defence Industry Associations are particularly important for SMEs, which often lack resources necessary to penetrate the market

jotneJotne EPM Technology, a company that focuses on data exchange, sharing and long term archiving of engineering and ILS data, contributed to an earlier EDA activity "SIMBASE" where one of the objectives was to deploy interoperability standards for logistics aspects, such as ISO 10303-239 (PLCS). By joining the recent EDA M&S SME Platform initiative we have the opportunity to share ideas and opportunities with other SMEs and large defence contracts in a structured way under the EDA umbrella. We aim to foster new activities in this forum and to form new consortia for the future that will create cooperative efforts in research and developments – says Kjell A. Bengtsson, VP of Jotne EPM Technology.
