  • 07:00 - 12:15

The EDA annual Military Airworthiness Conference (EDA MAC) will be held in Athens on 11-12 October 2017. The event comes at a crucial moment for the implementation of the EU Global Strategy and the harmonisation of Military Airworthiness Systems to support European Cooperation in Aviation Safety.

This year’s Conference will provide 2 days of informed presentations, thought-provoking discussions and stimulating ‘Question and Answer’ sessions focusing on ‘The next harmonisation steps as a key enabler for the implementation of the EU Global Strategy’. The Military Airworthiness Conference 2017 will be held on 11 and 12 October. For this year’s venue, we are very privileged to have been invited to Athens by the Hellenic Air Force.

On completion of the presentations and discussions on Wednesday 11th October, our Greek hosts have arranged for a guided tour of the Acropolis Museum. On completion of the tour, delegates are cordially invited to an evening ‘networking event’ close to the Acropolis Museum at the Royal Olympic Hotel, to enable discussions to continue in a more relaxed atmosphere. The networking event will finish at 21:30.

Access to the Conference and Conference Costs

To gain access to the MAC 2017 delegates will have to apply through a dedicated registration link soon available under the web page Military Airworthiness Conference 2017.

Upon receipt of positive confirmation of attendance from the EDA Points of Contact, individuals are then responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements. Individual accommodation/travel costs, as well as the payment of the conference registration fee, must be met by delegates themselves. The conference venue is a military facility, therefore specific security measures as requested by the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) will apply (see below) and unregistered delegates cannot be granted entrance on the day.

A conference fee of 60€ will apply for catering (such as lunch, coffee breaks and refreshments). However delegates will receive a discount, reducing the payable fee to 40€ if they choose to pay before 1st October by bank transfer. Details on how to do this will be provided in the confirmation e-mail that delegates will receive when they successfully register.

If any issues are experienced when following the registration process, these can be resolved by contacting one of the EDA ‘Points of Contact’ below:
