EDA is organising an online pilot-webinar on “European Defence Standardisation”. The virtual event, to take place on 15 March 2022 (2-4 pm), will bring together key stakeholders from national military authorities, industry, European agencies and international organisations. The pilot-webinar will provide insight into the latest developments on defence standardisation, allowing participants to share their knowledge, experiences, and best practices on defence standardisation-related topics.

The application of qualitative defence and civil standards are essential for the development of the interoperable capabilities needed to bolster EU readiness and responsiveness. Against this backdrop, strengthening education and training of the European defence standardisation Community is of the utmost importance.  In light of this, the European Defence Standardisation Committee defined as a priority the increased education and training to improve mutual understanding across EU’s entire defence standardisation community, including their standardisation related stakeholders.

This event is organised by EDA and supported by the custodian of education & training activities from the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. Registrations for the Pilot Webinar on European Defence Standardisation are open until 1st March COB, and must be done via participating Member States National Defence standardisation representatives.
