The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus and the European Defence Agency (EDA) have the pleasure to organise the Maritime Security Conference. The conference will be held in the context of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The conference will focus on the challenges for the European Maritime Security Strategy (EUMSS) and will focus on potential cooperative opportunities. Other topics addressed will include Europe’s sea-lines of communication, the protection of maritime infrastructure and an assessment of the pivot towards coast guard functions for Europe’s navies. A separate session will be dedicated to research and technological aspects of the EUMSS and will encompass academic and research communities.
The conference will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus on 12 and 13 November 2015.
On 11 November, a Cocktail Reception will be hosted by the CY Ministry of Defence at the Hilton Hotel (Nicosia).
