Major General André Erich Denk has served as Deputy Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency since February 1, 2023. Born on October 20, 1967, he joined the German Armed Forces in 1986 and holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. MajGen Denk’s education includes the German and French General Staff Colleges, equipping him with deep international expertise in logistics, operations, and capability planning.
He has held prominent roles, such as Director of Logistics for the EU Military Staff and commander of Germany's Joint School for Logistics. His leadership also spans multinational deployments under EU, NATO, and UN mandates, including as Chief of Staff of the EU Training Mission in Mali.
