Cyber

Cyberspace is today recognised as the fifth domain of warfare, equally critical to military operations as land, sea, air, and space. Moreover, cyber has an additional, horizontal dimension because military action in the other domains is increasingly dependent on the availability of, and access to, cyberspace.

Activities in the cyber defence programme include:

• support to the creation of a risk management model for cybersecurity in the supply chain for military capabilities
• definition of requirements and business case for the use of Artificial Intelligence in cyber exercises
• creation of a federation between military cyber ranges in EDA Member States
• creation of specific capabilities for APT Detection and Cyber Situational Awareness
• support to EU cooperation by creating coherence between the Cyber activities of EDA, the EU Cybersecurity Agency (ENISA), the Computer Emergency Response Team for the EU institutions (CERT-EU), and the European Cyber Crime Centre (EC3)/Europol
