The European Defence Agency operates in accordance to the principles set out in the Code of Good Administrative Behaviour and in cooperation with the European Ombudsman.
The Agency also strives to ensure that its staff and management do not have any interests that could affect their impartiality and has put in place specific policies to deal with any potential conflicts of interests.
In accordance with Article 18 of the EDA Staff Regulations, the Agency shall publish annually information on its duty to prohibit senior members of temporary staff, during the 12 months after leaving the service, from engaging in lobbying or advocacy vis-à-vis staff of their former institution for their business, clients or employers on matters for which they were responsible during the last three years in the service. To this end, the Agency publishes every year its assessment of applications received from senior managers to engage in new occupational activities.
