Considering also the evolution of the geopolitical landscape and the increasing relevance of military operations in the European skies, it is key for the military and all the aviation stakeholders, the flexible and responsive nature of airpower must be guaranteed at all levels and moments. Even if SES regulation does not apply to military operations and training, civil and Military aviation are closely interlinked, and both strive to ensure the highest levels of safety. Close engagement with all interested parties, both civil (airlines, air navigation service providers, airports but also the European Commission and EASA) and military ones are essential. We must work together to ensure that all military requirements and needs are duly accounted for in relevant forums, including the ones developing new technologies with dual-use applications. While interoperability with the civil dimension is sought to the widest extent possible, financial, security, and cyber constraints may hinder its full realization.
