Jointed Member States and Industry EDA REACH Meeting

Since early 2009, the European Defence Agency (EDA), at the request of its participating Member States, has been addressing – in coordination with the European Commission – the European Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and its defence implications.

The EDA has now invited industry, being an important stakeholder in REACH defence related issues, to participate in the next EDA REACH meeting to be held on 25 November 2015, at the EDA premises, to facilitate a closer interaction between the industry and governmental REACH experts, and to continue the dialogue and the exchange of views initiated in the previous EDA REACH meeting with industry on 3 November 2014.

During the meeting, the EDA work on REACH will be presented to the industry, including the EDA Code of Conduct on REACH Defence Exemptions adopted by the Member States in March 2015. The Commission will update the participants on defence related REACH issues. ASD/REACH Working Group will provide a presentation on industry’s REACH activities. A discussion and exchange of views between participants on topics presented will take place.

Registration 

The REACH meeting session with industry participation is scheduled on 25 November 2015, between 09.00 and 13.00, and is now open for registration to industrial stakeholders interested.
