  • 06-07 October 2021
  • 9:00 to 12:30

The EDA Military Airworthiness Conference 2021 will be organised on 6 and 7 October 2021 as a two half-day VTC event. On both days the conference will start at 09:00 and finish at 12:30.

The conference will bring together key stakeholders from national military airworthiness authorities, industry, European agencies and international organisations to be informed on the latest developments and experiences with respect to the harmonisation of national approaches towards Military Airworthiness, notably through the implementation of European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMARs).

CONFERENCE AGENDA

During the two days of the conference, eight presentations addressing various topics will be provided by representatives from national military airworthiness authorities, industry and other stakeholder parties. The final agenda will be distributed to registered participants closer to the date.

REGISTRATION

The conference is an INVITE ONLY event, principally open to representatives of governmental institutions, defence aviation industry and other stakeholder entities with their main business seat in EDA participating Member States or countries with an Administrative Arrangement. Inquiries regarding the event as well as applications for registration should be directed to MAWA-conference@eda.europa.eu. When accepted, applicants will be provided with a link that gives access to the conference closer to the date.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Initiated by the Ministers of Defence in 2008, the EDA participating Member States established the Military Airworthiness Authorities Forum aiming at the harmonization of national regulations on military airworthiness in Europe. Since that moment, under auspices of the MAWA Forum, a comprehensive set of European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMARs) has been developed and is now being implemented by the pMS. While maintaining the EMAR regulatory framework, the MAWA Forum is now focusing on further evolution of the cooperation based on a new Airworthiness Roadmap that was adopted in 2018.
