Introduction
A strong European defence industry not only contributes to addressing the current and future defence and security challenges, but also supports Europe’s strategic autonomy and technological edge. Resilience at a time of high intensity conflicts in a volatile geopolitical environment is essential. EDA is continueing its structured dialogue with Industry, supporting the development of a competitive and innovative EDTIB by engaging with industry mainly on topics derived from the EDA’s prioritisation framework. Building on the outcomes of the previous workshop in December 2023 and following the request by a number of participants, EDA is inviting the representatives of pMS NDIAs and ASD to a hybrid (in person and online) workshop on Friday 14 June 2024 from 10h00 to 15h30.
Meeting purpose
In this workshop, Industry will receive an update on the state of play and related way ahead of the EDA’s activities with benefit to Industry notably on the five main pillars: Capability Development, Research, Technology and Innovation, Key Strategic Activities and wider EU policies as well as overall support to Industry. EDA will also share information with Industry on specific topics of industry’s interest. The representatives of the European Commission are also invited to attend the meeting and provide an update on their current initiatives relevant to defence industry.
Registration
Information on how to register to the workshop can be obtained through NDIA's, ASD's, and NAD's Points of Contact (PoCs).
