Request for Information for preliminary market consultation

The European Defence Agency (EDA) is conducting a preliminary market consultation through a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the contributing Member States of the Category B Project Arrangement PRJ.CAP.1269 “Collaborative Procurement of Ammunition (CPoA)”.

This RFI is issued solely for market analysis purposes and with a view to:

assess the capacity of economic operators established in the European Union and Norway to meet the needs of EDA and Member States for the ammunition calibres:
- Small Arms Ammunition – 5.56mm x 45, 7.62mm x 51, 9mm x 19, and 12.7mm x 99
- Auto Canon Ammunition – 30mm x 173 
- 155mm Artillery Ammunition (various types/ configurations)
refine technical requirements
inform a potential competitive tendering.

This preliminary market consultation is NOT to be considered as a commitment by EDA to launch a procurement procedure.

Participation by the economic operators in this RFI is completely VOLUNTARY and as such all costs to develop the response are to be borne by the participating economic operators.

The information individually provided by the economic operators, in reply to this RFI, is treated with confidentiality. Individual responses will be anonymised and aggregated by EDA. EDA and its member states may use the anonymised, aggregated responses in discussion at governmental entities level, free of charge. No company-specific information will be disclosed outside of EDA, unless explicitly authorised by the respondent. Personal data will be processed by EDA in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2018/1725, pursuant to Article 31 of Council Decision (CSFP) 2015/1835.
