This year EDA has been invited by the Dirección General de Armamento y Material (DGAM) of the Spanish Ministry of Defense to hold the EDA Military Airworthiness Conference on 26 and 27 September 2018 at the Army School of War (Escuela de Guerra del Ejército de Tierra) in Madrid.
The central theme of the conference will be the implementation of a new airworthiness roadmap as the next step in the harmonisation of airworthiness approaches in Europe. The conference will reflect on current achievements and the impact of EMAR implementation on both the regulated community and military airworthiness authorities to date. It will also address the challenges of transitioning towards EMAR-based regulations in the coming years. Other highlights will be the evolution of the cooperation framework between national military airworthiness authorities, as well as relevant global developments.
